Evaluations

The Operators Training School offers Operator Evaluations, on the Backhoe, Excavator, Frontend Loader, Gradall and Road Grader. These tests provide employers with an evaluation of an employee or a potential employee's skill level.

Evaluation Includes:

  • Maintenance
  • Start up procedure
  • Safety
  • Trenching
  • Craning
  • Exposing live lines
  • Loading trucks
  • Mobility of machine
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Operators timed for production

Preparation

Students are to supply the following equipment/materials:

  1. Work boots, hard toed
  2. Rain gear, light gauge
  3. Multicoloured pen
  4. Note book and loose leaf binder
  5. Coffee mug

We will supply:

  1. Hard hats
  2. Gloves
  3. Diary or log book
  4. Hearing Protection

Coffee will be available for a minimal charge.

1/2 mile east of 264th Avenue on 8th.

School starts at 6:30 a.m. sharp, so be at school by 6:15 a.m., park your vehicles outside of equipment compound. (watch for heavy truck/trailer traffic) and don't be late! Come dressed for work. School day ends at 4:30 p.m. (Out-of-towners arrange transportation and accommodation well in advance!)
